The AN-204E cable-type water leak detector is primarily used to detect water ingress. The alarm unit uses a sensing cable, and the sensor detects leaks based on the electrical conductivity of liquids. When any part of the sensing cable comes into contact with water, the two sensing wires short-circuit. The alarm unit determines whether a leak has occurred from changes in the sensing cable's resistance and emits an alarm signal. The alarm unit has a built-in omnidirectional antenna.
